Travis Kelce said the Raiders loss soured the mood on Christmas until he got to spent some time with girlfriend Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift religiously supports her boyfriend Travis Kelce, and she was in attendance at Arrowhead when the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Las Vegas Raiders on December 25. The entire city of Kansas was ready to celebrate Christmas with a victory, but Grinch had the last laugh.

The 20-17 loss would not have stung much if it were any other opponent. However, the Raiders are their direct AFC West rival. And the defeat means they lost ground for the #1 seed in the division.

During the game, Kelce was seen throwing his helmet on the sidelines in frustration. Coach Andy Reid had to calm him down. It did not extinguish the fire, though. After the game wrapped up, he and Swift met up to celebrate Christmas.

On Friday’s special family episode of Travis and his brother Jason Kelce‘s New Heights podcast, Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, asked her brother-in-law about what happened at Christmas.

He further said,

But it ended well. It ended well with good Christmas cheer and good people. That's always going to save Christmas, no matter if you lose to the Raiders or not.

Taylor Swift’s brother gave Travis Kelce a special gift for Christmas

Christmas is a celebration of being together and spending time with family and relatives, even on game days. Taylor wasn’t the only one at GEHA Field; she brought the entire entourage. Her father, Scott Swift, mother, Andrea Swift, and brother, Austin Swift, were also in the VIP Suite.

Austin, dressed as Santa Claus, followed Taylor as they went past the Chiefs players on their way to the sitting area. The cameras caught him waving a bell whenever the Chiefs made a play during the game.

In the Holiday special podcast episode, Travis Kelce revealed that he received a special Christmas gift from Austin—a VHS tape of 1994’s Little Giants, Travis’ favorite football movie.

He actually made me feel like a child because his gift to me was straight out of the bag. It was in the Santa sack; whew, he whipped it out and handed me a VHS of my favorite football movie of all time.

Kylie claimed that Austin killed it with the Santa costume. Travis nodded. The festivities will continue simultaneously with the football season. The Chiefs will face the tough challenge of the Cincinnati Bengals (8-7).
