30 Seconds To Mars’ Jared Leto Supports Adele’s Revolt Against Spotify
In response to Adele’s request for her 2021 album ’30,’ Spotify removed the feature that caused the tracks to go into shuffle mod whenever the listener hit the play button. In a recent interview with Sharp Magazine, 30 Seconds to Mars’ Jared Leto supported the decision and the pop singer’s contribution by saying:
“Good for her for nudging that to happen. I think that’s been a really nice thing for people who care about sequence. Because artists can really put a lot of time, energy, and thought into the sequence of an album, and certainly, there are classic albums, catalog albums, where sequence was everything — albums where songs were thought of as chapters in a book. And it would be very strange to move chapters in a book around and then give it to someone to read.”
Speaking of albums, 30 Seconds to Mars’ new record ‘It’s the End of the World, but It’s a Beautiful Day’ will hit the music platform on September 15. In the meantime, the band has released three singles, the latest being ‘Get Up Kid.’
The track came out in July, and Leto shared his thoughts about it on Instagram:
“I think the lyrics in that song really speak to those times of my life where maybe I felt like I didn’t have enough, I wasn’t good enough, I wasn’t strong enough, and yeah, maybe this is the song that kind of reaches back to the past, those moments. Just a reminder that everything’s gonna be okay.”
