In a recent episode of his broadcast show, Charles Barkley called out football fans who blame Taylor Swift for “ruining” the sport. He labeled them as “losers” and “jacka**es.”

Two days later, Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes, showed her support by reposting Charles’ comments on her Instagram Story. She added the caption, “Let. Them. Know.”

It’s no surprise that Brittany defended Taylor, considering the singer is currently dating Patrick’s teammate, Travis Kelce. The two women have become close friends since Taylor and Travis started their relationship.

Brittany recently shared new photos on Instagram featuring Taylor from the most recent game. With the caption “LVIII,” she referred to Super Bowl 58, which is set to take place on February 11.

Fans also came to Taylor’s defense in the comments section of a video featuring Charles’ remarks. One fan pointed out that Taylor is simply supporting her boyfriend and it’s the networks that constantly show and talk about her. Another fan agreed with Charles, saying he’s not wrong in his assessment.

This incident also follows comedian Larry David’s comments about Taylor and Travis. During an appearance on the TODAY show, Larry confessed that he doesn’t “give a…” and clarified that he meant the “S-word.”

Brittany’s reaction to Charles’ comments comes less than two weeks before the Super Bowl. While it’s uncertain if Taylor Swift will attend the game due to her Eras Tour shows in Japan, many fans speculate that she will.

On the other hand, Travis confirmed that he won’t be able to support Taylor at the Grammy Awards on February 4 because of his pre-game preparations.

“I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for, but I think I got practice on Sunday,” Travis stated during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

“Or, I think Sunday’s a travel day. I know I got practice on Saturday, but Sunday is a travel day. Unfortunately, I’ve got to get ready for this big old Super Bowl that we got in a week.”
