Bruce Springsteen channels his inner Travis Kelce by replicating the Chiefs star’s Super Bowl celebration ahead of Las Vegas concert

Bruce Springsteen channeled his inner Travis Kelce ahead of his Las Vegas concert last week.

The rock legend, 74, performed in Sin City, the site of Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII victory, on March 22.

The Chiefs clinched their third Super Bowl win in five years with a thrilling overtime 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium last month.

Following the victory, a jubilant Kelce let out a roaring ‘Viva Las Vegas’ – a nod to Elvis Presley’s 1964 classic hit – as he grabbed the mic on the podium.

And Springsteen had clearly been paying attention as he referenced the tight end’s celebrations as he gave his band a pep talk before stepping on stage.

In a clip shared to his Instagram, Springsteen is seen holding hands with the E Street Band members in a circle as he revvs them up for their performance.

‘As Travis Kelce would say…’ the music icon begins before asking one of his musicians to ‘do the honors’. The instrumentalist then roars out, ‘Viva Las Vegas!’

Springsteen even says Kelce’s surname with the correct pronunciation after the NFL star revealed in 2021 that it should actually be pronounce ‘Kels’. Kelce later insisted that he was happy either pronunciation.

During last week’s show in Sin City, Springsteen & the E Street Band also played a cover of Presley’s ‘Viva Las Vegas.’

Kelce’s Elvis-inspired war cry came as part of his on-stage performance as he delivered a victory speech to Chiefs Kingdom.

Leaning into the microphone as he gripped the Vince Lombardi Trophy with his hands, Kelce screamed: ‘Chiefs Kingdom!’

‘Yo, hear this,’ he continued. ‘We been fighting for our right all night. How about a little Viva Las Vegas… Viva Las Vegas… Viva… Viva… Las Vegas!’

The crowd appeared to love the moment, and the camera cut to girlfriend Taylor Swift, who looked as though she was holding back tears on an emotional night.

Kelce then went on to sing his traditional ‘Fight For You Right’ line, before insisting that the Chiefs will be doing all they can to seal a three-peat this time next year.

Speaking on stage, he told the fans: ‘We get a chance to do it three times in a row… I’ll see y’all next year.’
