Fame isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, just ask Cardi B.

The rapper, 29, admitted that she thinks being famous is “boring” in an honest post on Twitter.

The ‘WAP’ hitmaker – who is one of the world’s best-selling music artists – admits that being famous isn’t as exciting as people imagine.

The mom-of-two – who shares three-year-old daughter Kulture, and a fourth-month-old son with her husband Offset – candidly wrote: “I’m not even going to lie to y’all, being famous is kinda boring. [sic]”

In fact, Cardi B has always been vocal about her distaste for fame, previously admitting that she was actually much happier before people knew who she was.

Speaking to CR Fashion Book, she admitted that there are definitely positive things about being famous.

“My family, whatever they want, they get. Everything that I want to buy, I can get. I don’t have to worry so much about my future,” she explained.

However, the rapper admitted that there are also aspects of fame she simply wasn’t prepared for.

“One negative thing is that, even though I’m happy, I feel like I was a little bit happier two or three years ago when I had less money,” she admitted.

“I had less people who had opinions about my life. I felt like my life was mine. Now I feel like I don’t even own my life. I feel like the world owns me.”

She also shared that she takes inspiration from things and people who exist outside the celebrity world.

“Like for example, my mom would come home from work and get cooking right away. I also admire my homegirl, right? She used to strip. As soon as she would come home at five or six in the morning, she would finish counting singles, then get her son ready for school, and boom, take him to school.”

Last year, Cardi B briefly touched on life before fame in a tweet, writing: “Why am I always so hungry?! I swear I was never this hungry when I was broke.”
