Did Jay-Z have a big influence on Beyoncé’s booming career?
Beyonce was already famous before she even met Jay-Z, her popularity came from being the lead singer of a girl group called Destiny’s Child (Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson and Letoya Luckett were the original members) in the late 1990s and early 2000s ;
Then Luckett and Roberson left the group and were replaced by Farrah Franklin (who quit the group after only a few months) and Michelle Williams (who stuck around with them after that) and it became a trio until they disbanded in 2002, aside from a brief reunion in 2004 :
Beyonce then started her solo career in 2002 – 03 without Destiny’s Child and that was around the time she met Jay-Z when they collaborated on his song : “03 Bonnie And Clyde” and then they started dating not long after that but Beyonce already had success prior to her relationship with him so no he didn’t have a big influence on her career other than being her boyfriend (and now husband) because she did it without him :
