Justin Timberlake is returning to his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee for a special performance at The Orpheum Theater on Friday, January 19, 2024.

The award-winning vocalist and performer shared a series of photos and videos on Instagram on Friday, January 12. The leading photo centers a billboard in Memphis announcing the date of the show and the venue. One slide later, Timberlake pulls up a childhood video of him showcasing his hometown.

“This is where I come from. This is the Mississippi River and that is Memphis, Tennessee,” he said as the camera pans between the river and the city’s skyline.

The final two slides of the carousel highlight the singer’s travel schedule for January 19 before transitioning into a snippet of an unreleased track that cuts off right before he begins to sing.

“Going home. Memphis 1/19,” the post’s caption reads.

Justin Timberlake has not released a solo album since Man of the Woods debuted in 2018. More recently, he’s been in the studio working on new music with Timbaland.

“I just left working with him, we just finished up and everything sounds great,” Timbaland told Variety

“Now it’s really on him how he plans to wrap it up and how and when he envisions it to come out. With an artist of his caliber, everything has to be aligned, but it’s done and it’s coming.”

Timberlake nor Timbaland have provided a window in which they plan to release their latest work, but a hometown performance suggests it’ll arrive sooner rather than later.
