Adding edge to Adele’s soaring vocals by beating the hell out of his drums to the tune’s chorus, Barker went so hard on his drum kit throughout the thunderous 30-second clip, that if those sticks could talk, we bet they’d be screaming “take it easy on me.” As one of them actually snapped at the end of the video.

The performance earned Barker a heart emoji from his fiancée, Kourtney Kardashian, as well as lots of fire emojis and other comments. Including one from his friend and collaborator blackbear, who actually picked up on the drumstick snap, saying, “was that a stick break at the end?”

As for Adele’s thoughts, well she hasn’t shared, but, she has let her over 48 million followers know that she is “Rested and Re-Set!” And “Feeling ready for 2022” promising “so much coming” that she’s excited for us to see. First up, a video for “OH MY GOD” set for a January 12 release.
