Madonna was sued because she continuously committed this violation after more than 40 years of singing

Madonna has been singing since the 1980s, but after more than 40 years holding the mic, she is still constantly being sued for allegedly lacking professionalism. The reason recorded in the minutes was because she performed 2 hours late at her concert.

According to sources from the New York Post, two men, Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden, after returning from a performance on the evening of December 13, 2023 at Barclays Center , Brooklyn , New York, decided to file a lawsuit against Madonna in court. Brooklyn federal court for the reason that the concert started 2 hours later than what was previously advertised. The lawsuit does not state the amount of compensation sought.

These two men said that the information in the ticket for the Material Girl star’s Celebration Tour concert on December 13, 2023 at Barclays Center clearly stated that the concert would start at 8:30 p.m. However, it was not until 10:50 p.m. that Madonna appeared at the live show, making the audience think that she was too tired from waiting, had difficulty finding a ride home, and that it affected the next day’s work.

This leaves fans stranded in Brooklyn with limited public transportation options, limited carpooling, or having to pay additional fees for taxis, the lawsuit states. In addition, the next day is Thursday, most of the audience still has to work the next day. The live show ending late affects rest, health and work quality.

Not only suing Madonna, these two fans also sued the organizers of Live Nation and the venue Barclays due to “unconscionable, unfair and deceptive commercial practices”.

Immediately after the lawsuit was announced, many other fans also expressed their frustration. Some viewers said they were extremely disappointed by the “thoughtless” actions of the 65-year-old female singer and her crew.

The lawsuit cites Madonna as defendants, along with tour operator Live Nation Worldwide, Inc, Brooklyn Event Center, LLC, operating as Barclays Center…

The class of plaintiffs includes ticket buyers for Madonna’s US tour. The plaintiffs are asking for an undisclosed amount of damages to be determined at trial.

The lawsuit alleges that changing the start time of Madonna’s Madame Hollander then tried to get his money back for 3 show tickets but was unsuccessful.

Most recently, in December 2023, Madonna arrived late to 5 live shows in Boston, Toronto and Detroit, all between 9:50 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. At Barclays Center alone, she performed 3 shows, of which, in the live show that was being sued, she performed at 10:50 p.m., and the remaining two shows, at 10:20 p.m.

These performances are all part of Madonna’s “Celebration Tour”, with a total of 79 live shows, around the US and Europe, starting from October 2023, expected to end in April this year. Tickets for each show when on sale cost 44-355 USD, excluding tax.
