A video shared on Netflix’s official account announced this amazing match. There, boxer and social media star Jake were seen “face to face” with Tyson, and the 2 agreed to compete.

Former heavyweight champion Tyson will be 58 at the time of the fight, while Jake is still 27, so the two fighters will be 31 years younger than each other when competing.

Even Netflix organizers expressed surprise: “Yes, it’s not all wrong. It’s Jake Paul versus Mike Tyson in a boxing event that will be broadcast live at AT&T Stadium, it’s going to be a showdown nobody wants to miss.”

Netflix vice president of sports Gabe Spitzer said: “Mike is one of the icons of boxing history, while Jake is the most prominent troublemaker. On July 20, drama will take place in the ring.”

Tyson said before the fight: “Paul has grown significantly as a boxer over the years. So it will be interesting to see what the will and ambition of a newcomer can do with the experience and aptitude of veterans like me. I’m going to knock him out.”

Paul also expressed confidence: “It’s crazy to think that in my 2nd professional fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson. Less than 4 years later, I’m about to face Tyson to see if I can afford to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons.”

“Steel puncher” Tyson has had a memorable career with 50 wins including 44 knockouts of opponents, in contrast, Jake only switched careers from a YouTuber to a professional boxer 4 years ago. The 27-year-old boxer won 9 in 10 boxing fights, he has an advantage in youth but loses in level and experience compared to Tyson.
