Taylor Swift is on her way to the Super Bowl! Singer boards flight to Las Vegas to cheer on Travis Kelce vs the 49ers after stopping off in LA

Taylor Swift is finally set to complete her long journey to the Super Bowl this afternoon after boarding a flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.

Swift touched down in California on Saturday after wrapping up her final Eras Tour concert in Tokyo and making the 5,500-mile trip across the globe to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs face the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl LVIII.

The singer and songwriter likely chose to make a pit stop in LA, where she owns a property, as NFL rules prevented her from spending the night with Kelce on the eve of the big game.

And just hours before her man takes to the field at Allegiant Stadium, Swift was seen boarding her flight from Burbank, Los Angeles County, over to Vegas for the final leg of her long journey to the Super Bowl.

Despite leaving Japan at 9.30pm Saturday night, she arrived in LA earlier than when she left – touching down at 3.35pm on Saturday afternoon thanks to the time difference.

Swift made the dash back from Japan following a busy week that took in four sold out performances at the Tokyo Dome – the final one on Saturday night.

The pop billionaire is also fresh from winning a record-breaking fourth ‘album of the year’ Grammy – handed out at a glitzy ceremony in LA while Kelce, 34, was arriving in Vegas ahead of the Super Bowl.

As revealed by TMZ, Swift likely stopped off in LA as she would not have been allowed to link up with Kelce the night before his big game.

NFL rules forbid players from staying with their wives or girlfriends on the evenings before a game, rules which have been ramped up on Super Bowl week.

Chiefs and 49ers stars would therefore have been in lockdown through the later hours of Saturday night, meaning Swift would not have been able to see her man upon arrival in Vegas – where she would have touched down at around 4pm.

That would have given her just a handful of hours to get through customs and spend time with Travis before the curfew kicked in.

As a result, heading to her property in California and spending the night there before jetting to Nevada on Sunday was likely the more appealing option.

Customs would not have been an issue given guidelines would have allowed her to fly to Vegas from Tokyo directly, while the dilemma concerning private-jet parking spaces is unlikely to have affected one of the biggest stars on the planet.

Taylor Swift lands at LAX following show in Tokyo ahead of Super Bowl

As she prepared to land in LA on Saturday, Swift was being tracked once again by Jack Sweeney – despite her lawyers threatening the college student with legal action.

Sweeney, a 21-year-old junior at the University of Central Florida, has run a number of accounts that track the flight paths of planes and helicopters owned by celebrities, billionaires, politicians and other high-profile figures.

One of those celebrities is Swift, who has been drawing criticism for her use of private jets due to the planet-warming emissions of carbon dioxide that are released with every flight.

As well as monitoring her movements, Sweeney’s account has also been documenting the amount of CO2 Swift’s private jet has been producing, which has led to her attorneys threatening a lawsuit for ‘stalking and harassing behavior’.

Yet despite the threat of legal action, Sweeney is still tracking Swift’s movements amid her journey from Tokyo to Vegas.

The student shared photos of her private jet touching down in LA, along with the flight number and even alleged messages exchanged during the flight by the cabin crew.

He also claimed that any emissions documented for Taylor’s journey to Vegas should be doubled as VistaJet, the airline flying her to the Super Bowl, also flew a backup plane over with her.

Sweeney’s accounts use publicly available data, and also share the estimates of their planet warning emissions – with the college junior first going head to head with Elon Musk in 2022 for sharing his jet’s details.

When she makes her final trip from LA to Vegas, Swift will head to Allegiant Stadium to take her seat at the game alongside the likes of Jason and Kylie Kelce.

Swift and Kelce’s families will be sharing a Super Bowl suite this Sunday, a new report has confirmed, after the Kansas City star shelled out ‘well over $1million’ to reserve the seats.

Kelce joked earlier this week about ‘losing all the money‘ to make sure his family and friends could watch the game.

And according to TMZ, he has made good on that promise with Taylor’s parents Andrea and Scott, his brother Austin and his girlfriend Sydney set to sit with Travis’ parents Donna and Ed, brother Jason and sister-in-law Kylie.
