The latest buzz suggests that Beyoncé’s plans to debut her new song “Boomers are Bastards” at the Opry have hit a snag. Despite personally reaching out to Joe Barron, the Curator of the Opry, she was informed that the Opry doesn’t operate on personal requests and requires sponsorship or a direct invitation.

Attempting to secure sponsorship, Beyoncé turned to Taylor Swift, but the Opry doesn’t acknowledge her as a country artist due to her removal from The Academy of Country Music’s roster. Similarly, Garth Brooks was not an option as his membership was revoked last year.

With no sponsorship in sight and no direct invitation forthcoming, it appears Beyoncé’s performance at the Opry won’t happen anytime soon.
