“Why a Rematch Between Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn Will Happen at a WWE House Show”

Since joining WWE in 2014, Sami Zayn has been an essential member of the company, demonstrating his value time and time again. Zayn has been involved in several captivating storylines throughout his career in WWE, with one of his most recent and notable being his involvement with The Bloodline, which has been widely regarded as one of the most intriguing storylines in WWE. He is set to face Roman Reigns again at an upcoming WWE house show and it seems that is for a good reason.

At the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns engaged in an intense and highly emotional match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Zayn put forth a valiant effort, but unfortunately, his chances for victory were ultimately thwarted by interference from The Bloodline, Reigns’ allies. Despite his setback, Zayn’s unwavering determination and fighting spirit continue to make him a respected and admired figure in the WWE community.

A recent announcement stated that the two WWE superstars are set for a rematch once again in Canada, and Toronto is getting the match this time. Roman Reigns will defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Sami Zayn at the live event on March 4th in Toronto’s Coca-Cola Coliseum.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted the original match that was planned for the Toronto show featured Roman Reigns teaming up with Solo Sikoa to take on Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens in a tag team match.

However, given the ongoing storyline between Zayn and Owens, where they are attempting to repair their friendship in time for WrestleMania, it would not make sense for them to team up just yet, even for a house show. While only those in attendance would see the match, it’s important for WWE to maintain continuity and consistency in their storytelling across all platforms.

It seems that WWE made the decision to change the match lineup for the Toronto show in order to capitalize on the potential drawing power of a Reigns vs Zayn rematch. This is likely due to the fact that such a matchup would likely generate significant interest and ticket sales.

According to Meltzer, the show had sold just under 6,000 tickets as of his last update. However, after the announcement that Reigns would be appearing at the show (not specifically for the rematch with Zayn), around 600 tickets were sold in just a few days. This is a noteworthy boost in ticket sales and speaks to the popularity of Reigns as a draw for WWE events. We’ll have to see how the match will turn out.
