Becky Lynch found it hard to tell her daughter that Seth Rollins wants to fight The Rock.

These days, almost everyone seems hellbent on having a crack at Dwayne Johnson.

And that’s quite normal when the most famed sports entertainer is in the conversation.

But the way he was brought into the picture by Becky Lynch on Raw this week is interesting.

Speaking about her own vicissitudes since becoming a mother, Lynch had to dug deep to explain her 3-year-old why her mom is bruised every now and then.

Becky then elucidated how hard it’s for her to tell Roux that her dad wants to fight Maui, a reference made to Dwayne Johnson’s character in Moana.

Earlier in the night, Seth Rollins interrupted Cody Rhodes after the latter declared war against The People’s Champ.

First up, Rhodes thanked Rollins for having his back at the WrestleMania XL presser last Thursday.

In response, Rollins took a page out of a song in Moana, the same movie in which he cosplayed Maui.

There were enough teases about The Rock on Raw, though not everything was conspicuous.

In the passionate promo Seth had with Cody, The Visionary told his frenemy that he doesn’t need to fight this battle with The Bloodline alone.

Seth took some heavy toll on himself while admitting that he might’ve played a factor in transmogrifying Roman Reigns into the monster he has become today.

I’ve had to explain to her [daughter] why daddy wants to fight Maui.

The Architect made it perfectly clear to Cody that if he fails to finish his story at WrestleMania 40, there will be darkness on the other side.

Rollins did put emphasis on the fact that Roman Reigns isn’t to be schooled by outdated trickery. And that’s because he got The Rock this time around.

Dwayne Johnson expected to go old-school for renewed WWE run

A report from WrestleVotes has shed some light on how WWE plans to use The Rock. According to the outlet, the Hollywood actor is expected to completely embrace his heel turn.

From what’s described, Johnson is expected to draw inspiration from his old-school ‘Hollywood Rock’ persona.

That’s not completely it, as it’s speculated that WWE will roll out The Rock-branded ‘Cody Crybabies’ merchandise as well.

For what it’s worth, the catchphrase coined by Dwayne Johnson on Pat McAfee‘s podcast is now entitled to generate stacks of money for WWE.

WWE has reminded their viewers at least a hundred times since last Friday that The Rock and Roman Reigns will be on SmackDown this week.

Well, whatever they’re up to is working. As a matter of fact, the show has sold over 1,100 tickets since the Samoan stalwarts were added.
