Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons defended Dak Prescott in front of Stephen A. Smith, who he said is too critical of the quarterback.

Micah Parsons, the star linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys, has once again proved his loyalty to signal-caller Dak Prescott.

The Dallas LB stated that the team did not lose to the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs because of Prescott. Instead, it was his fault on multiple occasions where he failed to win situations over the Packers.

In a conversation with Stephen A. Smith, Parsons came to Prescott’s defense and said that he thinks Smith analyzes everybody differently.

Smith used several harsh words against Dak and the Cowboys after they lost against the Packers on Super Wild Card Weekend.

Smith posted a video of himself watching a first half that saw Dallas unravel against Green Bay, going down 27-7 after two quarters.

In the video, Smith gives his phone’s camera a wide-eyed gaze while he tries to stifle laughter.

The media personality fights to hold in the giggles before raising his finger to his lips and making a “shh” sound.

Throughout his recent conversation with Smith, Parsons defended his quarterback and compared Dak with other QBs, indicating that others get good support from their defenses, while Prescott never had the fortune to rely on his defense.

“What people are failing to realize, and this is where accountability, culture, leadership all takes place,” Parsons said.

“There has to be a point in time where Dak throws a pick in a crucial moment, same way Pat [Mahomes] did, and I gotta say ‘Yo 4, don’t stress it, I got you, we gonna get a stop right here, you just need to come back like I know you will.’

“I don’t agree that it was just Dak Prescott. I know we could have done things differently defensively.”

Parsons also pointed out that he believes Smith analyzes everybody differently and is unfair to Prescott.

“Besides Patrick Mahomes, what other quarterback in the AFC has accomplished anything to get more credit than Dak?” Parsons asked.

When Smith brought up Josh Allen and said his team made it further, Parsons said that doesn’t matter.

“It doesn’t matter how far you get. If you’re going home and you don’t have a ring, it doesn’t matter,” Parsons exclaimed.

“If you are not the Super Bowl champion, it does not matter what you have accomplished … if you do not win the big one, it does not matter … I’m not giving participation.”

This is not the first time Parsons fought against the analysts for his quarterback.

During the season, Parsons took on several analysts for criticizing Prescott. In fact, Emmanuel Acho was one of the analysts who received the heat from the Cowboys LB.

“I just don’t condone the bashing of Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys … critics should have the same energy for the [Philadelphia] Eagles,” Parsons said at the time.

“We want the same energy for everybody. Because there’s a whole bunch of bashing when it’s Dak Prescott, but not the same when it’s the Eagles … If y’all just gonna hate Cowboys Nation, just say y’all hate Cowboys Nation.”
