‘I’m so insecure I think // That I’ll die before I drink // And I’m so caught up in the news // Of who likes me and who hates you,’ she croons.

A blonde-wigged Olivia then emerges onto the screen as a local newscaster with actor Lukas Gage, 26, appearing alongside her as a co-anchor.

In each scene, Olivia’s face becomes slightly obscured by different anime face-filters: one that gives her extra eyes, one that makes her cry oversized cartoon tears, one that gives the appearance her face is cracking, among others.

The song is about being a teenager and living under the microscope of, not only social media, but also of the expectations of adults that young people should be enjoying the ‘best years’ of their lives.

‘They say these are the golden years // But I wish I could disappear // Ego crush is so severe // God, it’s brutal out here,’ the lyrics read.
