On Monday, Selena Gomez shared something that women everywhere can relate to: inevitable body changes.

And in true Selena fashion, the beauty mogul and actress promoted body positivity with a couple of Instagram Stories that compared an old bikini photo with a more recent one.

The star first shared the throwback image, in which she wore a zebra-printed string swimsuit.

“Today, I realized I’ll never look like this again,” she wrote on top of the photo.

In the next slide, the singer shared a newer photo that captured the singer climbing aboard a boat in a black-and-white swimsuit.

“I’m not perfect but I am proud to be who I am …” she captioned the post, normalizing her body fluctuation. “Sometimes I forget it’s OK to be me.”

This isn’t the first time Gomez has been candid about her views on body positivity.

The star is known for clapping back at haters online with a sense of humor and tongue-in-cheek responses.

After the 2023 Golden Globe awards, Gomez shut down body-shamers who criticized her red carpet look.

“I’m a little bit big right now because I enjoyed myself during the holidays,” she said to her younger sister Gracie in an Instagram Live. “I mean, right? But we don’t care.”

In 2022, Gomez posted a hilarious TikTok that captured her sitting on a boat in a one-piece swimsuit while lip-syncing along to YouTuber Tasha K’s viral sound, “I’m not sucking shit in.

Real stomachs is coming the fuck back, OK?”
