Stephen Curry shares his plans to retire after an excellent season with the Warriors.

Golden State Warriors might not be having the season they would have desired but Stephen Curry continues to be at the forefront of the NBA side. Curry who has only donned the Warriors shirt throughout his career, is into his 15th season in the NBA.

Despite his growing age, there hasn’t been much difference in Curry’s game plan as he has been in his usual best form.

He has averaged 28 points this season alongside 4.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists and a 42.1 % shooting from the three point range.

It may appear that Curry is in the twilight period of his career but the 35 year old clearly stated that retirement hasn’t hit his mind yet and he will continue to play basketball as long as his body wants.

“[I] think about it all the time. But the thoughts stop because you got to get ready for the next game, and you know there’s a routine and a cycle that goes that you embrace the now.

“Eventually, you’ll get to a point where you’ll wake up, and whatever your body is telling you, whatever your mind is telling you, it’s time. But I don’t think I’m anywhere close to that.”

Golden State haven’t been in the ideal position in the western conference but before the NBA All-Star game, they notched up six wins in seven games.

A still lot to play for in the remainder of the season and Curry will play a pivotal role as most of his teammates have suffered a dip in their form this season.

In an interview with ESPN, Curry also admitted that he, alongside Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, who has been the core of Golden State has suffered a lot. But he is confident they will bounce back in the season.

“We’ve been through a lot this year, the three of us.

“Especially with Draymond’s absence for a while, with Klay taking on a new role, the new cast of characters that we have that are right alongside in this journey.

I think it’s extremely possible to accomplish both. We just have to protect the identity of who we are the best we can and I think we’re moving in that right direction.”
