SZA takes home four awards including Album and Song of the Year at the 2023 Soul Train Awards while Usher and Victoria Monet also win big
SZA walked away the big winner from Sunday night’s 2023 Soul Train Awards, taking home four awards, including two of the night’s biggest awards.
SZA, 34 (born Solána Imani Rowe), took home Album Of the Year for SOS and Song of the Yar for Snooze.
The singer – who leads the Grammy nominations with nine nods in total – also won Best R&B/Soul Female Artist and the Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award for Snooze.
Usher took home three awards, Best R&B/Soul Male Artist, Best Collaboration and the Certified Soul Award.
Victoria Monet took home two awards, winning Video of the Year and Best Dance Performance for her hit track On My Mama.
SZA’s SOS won Album of The Year over The Age of Pleasure by Janelle Monáe, Age/Sex/Location by Ari Lennox, Clear 2: Soft Life EP by Summer Walker, Girls Night Out (Extended) by Babyface, I Told Them… by Burna Boy, Jaguar II by Victoria Monét and What I Didn’t Tell You (Deluxe) by Coco Jones.
