Both the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers have been two of the most disappointing teams this season.

While many expected them to be top-tier teams, both are barely in the play-in tournament right now.

One analyst believes that neither Steph Curry nor LeBron James will win a championship with these teams again.

JJ Redick spoke on ESPN and gave a very harsh reality for Steph Curry, LeBron James, and their respective teams.

“I don’t think either of these teams are likely to win a championship this year,” Redick said.

“These teams are trending in the right direction…I don’t think it’s likely that either gets a 5th title unless they’re willing to go somewhere else because

I just don’t see either of those teams being capable of making a move that moves the needle in the next few years.”

The reason that JJ doesn’t believe in the Lakers or Warriors in particular, is because he doesn’t see any other star becoming available to join LeBron or Steph.

Other than the Milwaukee Bucks or Chicago Bulls, most stars are on very competent teams and it would be shocking to see them leave.

“Who is the next guy that’s available,” Redick questioned. “Donovan Mitchell, maybe?

That’s the rumor. I think he’s been fantastic in Cleveland, I hope he doesn’t leave Cleveland. Joel Embiid isn’t leaving Philly. Maybe it’s Giannis?

While it’s too early in the season to say whether or not the Warriors or Lakers should be completely counted out, they’re definitely not going to be the favorites anytime soon.
