Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has the Midas touch. It seems like he finds success wherever he goes, whether it be pro wrestling, Hollywood, or the XFL. Recently, there was a major update on the latter, as the XFL merged with the USFL (United States Football League) to form the United Football League (UFL).

And sharing the idea and vision behind the decision, he recently shared a clip on his Instagram.

Johnson and Garcia outline their shared vision

Taking to his Instagram, The Rock shared a clip of him with his XFL co-owner and ex-wife Dany Garcia talking about their shared vision’ behind the decision with The College Game Day at ESPN. In the caption to the post, he wrote, “Great time with my biz partner @danygarciaco on @collegegameday chopping up the shared vision of our new spring football league, kicking off March 30th — The UFL. Our XFL officially merging with the USFL to form one powerful spring entity of opportunities. Huge shout to our College GameDay Boys – the best crew in college football!”

Sharing his thoughts in the clip, Dwayne Johnson said, “As Danny had been saying about the vision of our partners, we here at ESPN, we have been partners for a very long time. Our new partners at FOX… just combined leadership and vision…we got a real shot.” While the fans would be happy to see Johnson gain success with the XFL after Vince McMahon once announced it to be bankrupt, would it affect his recent return to the WWE?

Would the new project affect the Rock’s return?

The world had been awaiting the return of ‘The People’s Champ’ since the last Royal Rumble in 2023, and despite being in the same city as the event’s venue, he could not make the much-awaited return. But fans sure can forgive him after the massive return he made in front of the San Diego crown on RAW a few days back. Though a hint has been dropped that he might face ‘the Tribal Chief’, no certain storyline has begun for certain.

With the recent XFL merger, it might seem he would get busy again but the season is not kicking off until March 30, 2024. That is enough time for the WWE to work on a proper storyline for the people’s champ and bring it to fruition. With most of the buildup complete by WrestleMania arrives, we can expect the Rock to be all focused on his return in hand. But the question is, against whom? Who do you want him to face off against? Should he go against Roman Reigns and the Bloodline? Let us know in the comments.
