Eminem to Co-Produce Documentary ‘Stans’ Exploring Fan Culture
Variety exclusively reports that Eminem will co-produce ‘Stans,’ a documentary film exploring the world of passionate fans, based on his iconic song ‘Stan’ released in 2000. The film, a collaboration between Shady Films, DIGA Studios, and Hill District Media, will be distributed by Paramount/MTV.
Directed by Steven Leckart, known for his work in documentary filmmaking and television, ‘Stans’ is set to premiere later this year. The documentary promises to provide an intimate glimpse into the world of devoted fans, viewed through the lens of Eminem, one of the world’s most iconic artists, and his worshippers.
Long-time Eminem managers Paul Rosenberg and Stuart Parr from Shady Films expressed, ‘Stans’ will offer us an opportunity to turn the cameras towards the audience and explore the journey of becoming a fan, and in some cases, an obsessive one.
