Eminem’s Playful Plea to Detroit Lions Coach: ‘Just Give Me a Uniform’
In a lighthearted video shared on Instagram, Eminem playfully called out Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell, expressing his desire to join the game. The iconic rapper, known for hits like “Without Me” and “Mockingbird,” humorously proposed himself as an eligible receiver, quarterback, and entire offensive line, with plans to throw the ball to himself for a touchdown in the third quarter.
The rapper’s Instagram caption further emphasized his willingness to join the team, stating, “Coach Dan … the offer still stands. I’m around for Sunday, lmk…”
This isn’t the first time Eminem has shown his support for the Detroit Lions. In a previous video, he expressed his New Year’s resolution for the Lions to win the Super Bowl. Coincidentally, the Lions secured their first playoff game victory in 32 years against the Los Angeles Rams, where Eminem was spotted hyping up the crowd with his hit song “Lose Yourself.”
Prior to the game, Eminem made a playful request to Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, who previously played for the Lions. Referencing the Rams’ Super Bowl win in 2022, Eminem jokingly appealed to Stafford for a favor, emphasizing his past support for the quarterback.
The Lions are set to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the divisional round, with Eminem’s playful antics adding an extra layer of excitement for fans. Eminem’s longstanding support for the team was further evidenced when he attended a Lions game with his daughter Hailie Jade Scott at Ford Field, showcasing his Detroit pride and enthusiasm for football.
