Rapper-actor Ice Cube, known for his extensive career in music and film, is set to take the stage at the Ohio State Fair on July 30. Ice Cube, who has appeared in over 40 films, and country singer Jamey Johnson, co-writer of Trace Adkins’ hit “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” are the latest additions to the fair’s concert lineup.
Ice Cube, returning to the fair after his performance in 2022, will perform at 7 p.m. on July 30, with ticket prices ranging from $52 to $62. Jamey Johnson, along with special guest Southhall, will perform at 7 p.m. on August 3, with tickets priced at $38 and $48. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday via ticketmaster.com/OhioStateFair.

Those who subscribe to the Ohio State Fair e-newsletter will have access to a presale starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday.

Ice Cube, born O’Shea Jackson, gained prominence for his contributions to gangsta rap, including his time as the lead rapper for the controversial group N.W.A. Since then, he has enjoyed a successful solo career and ventured into acting, making his debut in John Singleton’s “Boyz N the Hood” in 1991. Ice Cube has appeared in various films, including the “Friday” and “Barbershop” franchises, as well as “Three Kings” alongside George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of N.W.A in 2016.

Jamey Johnson, a country singer-songwriter, left college to pursue music and served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves before relocating to Nashville. He has released several singles and has also co-written hits for artists like George Strait and Trace Adkins. Johnson’s notable singles include “The Dollar” and “In Color,” and he has written songs such as “Give It Away” for George Strait and “Ladies Love Country Boys” for Trace Adkins.

Other concerts previously announced for the Ohio State Fair include performances by Kidz Bop, Alabama, Stone Temple Pilots, Boyz II Men, Lauren Daigle, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Stephen Sanchez, Ohio Players, and Midnight Star. Additionally, free concerts included with fair admission will feature the All-Ohio State Fair Band & Youth Choir and Hotel California, an Eagles tribute band.
