Ice Cube celebrates 31st wedding anniversary with throwback photos of him & his wife

Ice Cube and his wife Kim commemorated their 31st wedding anniversary, and the rapper/actor took a nostalgic journey through time to honor this milestone.

Sharing a series of photos on Instagram on Tuesday (November 28), Cube showcased moments from their journey together over the years.

“31 years of marriage. 34 years of love. Happy Anniversary,” he captioned the affectionate post.

It’s been a remarkable year for Ice Cube, as he recently received news of being honored by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fаme with the inaugural Ice Cube Impact Award.

This collaboration recognizes Cube’s “remarkable contributions to the world of basketball, his unmatched passion for the game, and his unwavering commitment to fostering essential dialogues about inclusivity, equal opportunity, and racial and social justice, while also contributing to initiatives focused on education and community development.”

Expressing his gratitude for this recognition from such a prestigious organization, the creator of the BIG3 basketball league stated, “The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fаme Award named in my honor is truly remarkable, and words alone can’t express my gratitude for this recognition from such a prestigious organization.”

He further stated, “Having an award bearing my nаme only intensifies my commitment to advancing inclusivity and equal opportunity in sports, alongside my unwavering dedication to community activism.”

The Naismith Hall of Fаme will permanently house the Ice Cube Impact Award in its museum and will honor subsequent award winners each year through a dedicated exhibit and in-depth storytelling about honorees who use basketball as a platform for positive initiatives in their communities.

President and CEO of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fаme, John L. Doleva, remarked, “Ice Cube’s unquestionable passion for the game and his desire to see it utilized as a catalyst for positive impact on communities are unwavering.”

Doleva continued, “We are delighted to join hands with Ice Cube as he leverages his love of the game to inspire others. The Ice Cube Impact Award will stand as a testament to the power of basketball and the profound impact it can have on communities worldwide.”

The Ice Cube Impact Award will be presented to Ice Cube at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fаme on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 15, 2024) in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Despite his significant accomplishments in music, film, and sports, Ice Cube prefers not to be referred to as the G.O.A.T.

“For those who think it flatters me, please don’t call me a fucƙιng goat. Carry on,” he tweeted in September, followed by, “Don’t get me wrong. I appreciate the respect but don’t call me that.”
