Ice Cube was given the first Ice Cube Impact Award at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fаme.

The rapper, actor, producer of motion pictures, and co-founder of BIG3 was presented with an award on Sunday, January 14, in recognition of his service to the community via basketball, according to WWLP. The inaugural award was given to Ice Cube, whose actual nаme is O’Shea Jackson, in recognition of his love of basketball and his dedication to using the game to promote community development and education.

“You know, even though I’m the first beneficiary, I won’t be the last. We’re going to choose someone that merits this award every year, and I’m honored,” Ice Cube said. “I never in a million years thought we would be inducted into the Hall of Fаme with what we were doing.”

Every year, a game-changer will be acknowledged and celebrated for their services to the community via basketball with the introduction of the Ice Cube Impact Award.

Ice Cube said, “It’s really about upholding standards.” “To identify individuals who deserve to be here and showcase their artwork as well.”

He also hinted at aspirations to take his Big3 league global.
