The pop diva wonders ‘Why am I here dancing while everyone else is mourning?’ at a recent concert in Sweden.

Last weekend, Madonna had a show in Stockholm, Sweden. Here, the female singer shares thoughts about the terrorist tragedy in Paris, France on November 13 that took the lives of 132 people. Madonna said she wanted to cancel the show after hearing the news but then decided to continue as scheduled. “Why do we allow terrorists to prevent us from enjoying our freedom?” – the female singer said with tears in her eyes.

“To continue this show is difficult for me. I need time to be aware of this tragedy, the tragic murders, assassinations, taking the lives of innocent people in Paris last night” – Madonna choked up and continued: ” This thing haunted me all day. Why am I here dancing and having fun while everyone else is crying over the loss of the people they love? The pop diva called the terrorists who caused the tragedy “not appreciating human life, causing unforgivable things.”

Before continuing the show, the female singer asked the audience to spend a minute of silence for the victims who died in the terrorist attack. Then the female singer wiped her tears and performed the song Like A Prayer.

Madonna is not the only artist to express sympathy to Paris. The U2 group had previously canceled their live TV show in Paris, instead, they laid flowers to commemorate the victims. The group Foo Fighters also canceled the remaining series of shows in Europe.
