The Beckhams are arguably one of the most famous families in showbiz and a new tell-all book is set to make bombshell claims – from their finances as billionaires to untold secrets
An explosive biography about the Beckhams is set to unearth huge revelations about the world-famous family.
HarperCollins has secured rights to The House of Beckham: Money, Sex and Power, authored by investigative biographer Tom Bower. The rights were acquired by group managing editor Kate Elton from Jonathan Lloyd at Curtis Brown.
Harper nonfiction publisher Adam Humphrey will supervise the publication in the UK and commonwealth, while Sean Desmond, vice president and executive editor at Harper Books, will manage the publication in the US and Canada. The book is set to be published globally on 20th June 2024 in hardback, audiobook and e-book formats.
The publisher further added: “When the much-trailed Netflix documentary Beckham aired in 2023, viewers were offered an even more intimate insight into their private lives. Produced by the Beckhams themselves, the series raised many questions, not only about their success and personal relationship but critically about the ruthlessly successful management of their image in the media.”
In his explosive new book, Bower suggests that the golden couple David and Victoria Beckham’s lives might not be as perfect as they portray. “Through extensive research, expert sourcing and interviews with insiders, Tom Bower has unearthed a succession of revelations shedding surprising insight into the reality of ‘Brand Beckham’,” announced HarperCollins.
Diving deep into their relationship, their wildly successful football and fashion careers, their financial affairs and their new glamorous life in Miami, The House of Beckham promises an eye-opening look into the intriguing world of these savvy celebrities, filled with tales of wealth, intimacy and power.
Bower expressed his astonishment, saying: “When I started researching the Beckhams for the book, I was sure that an in-depth account of their lives would be a hugely entertaining and revealing read, but even I was surprised to discover such a compelling, previously untold story.”
Demonstrating his enthusiasm for the upcoming biography, Humphrey stated: “The Beckhams have dominated headlines, social media feeds and water-cooler conversations for more than two decades, and they remain a fascinating and enduring cultural phenomenon. The House of Beckham is a hugely compelling behind-the-scenes account of their lives and there is simply no better writer than Tom Bower to tell it.”
