Victoria and David Beckham had partied the night away celebrating her 50th as they were joined by celebrity friends and family

David Beckham failed to successfully sneak his merry wife out of her wild 50th party as he was spotted carrying the Spice Girl on his back in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Not one to let a broken foot spoil her fun, Victoria partied the night away with her crutches alongside an array of A-Listers and family at prestigious private members’ club Oswald’s in London’s Mayfair for her 50th birthday.

Wearing a a striking, almost sheer light mint coloured dress, Victoria shared a string of photos at the beginning of the night as she was joined by her dapper husband – dressed to the nines in a suit and bow tie – and sons Brooklyn, 25, and Romeo, 21, mirroring their father by wearing matching black suits. Youngest son, 19-year-old Cruz, stood out in a white coloured suit, while daughter Harper Seven, aged 12, wore a simple champagne coloured silk dress.

Hollywood star Tom Cruise, former model Jackie St Clair, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband Marc Anthony and all four of Victoria’s fellow Spice Girls were among the attendees at the star-studded event. Victoria, Geri, Mel B, Emma and Mel C even later treated their fellow partygoers to an impromptu performance to an iconic Spice Girls hit.

So it’s unsurprising that Victoria was exhausted by 2.30am, hiding behind her huge trademark shades as she jumped on her husband’s back. David’s jacket was draped over her shoulders, protecting her from the chill, as he marched them both over to a cab as he held her legs wrapped around her waist and cream stilletos dangling from her feet.

Fans were waiting by the entrance alongside the throng of paparazzi as security were forced to hold back the huge crowds while the couple made their way into a taxi. They were soon followed by all three of their sons and daughter into their transport.

Soon after leaving, Victoria posted a video of herself and the rest of the Spice Girls performing their iconic 1997 hit Stop to delighted partygoers. David had been filming the incredible moment and looked happier than ever to be there as he sloshed his drink about.

Victoria captioned the video: “Best night ever! Happy Birthday to me! I love you all so much! #SpiceUpYourLife.” Fans flocked to the comments, with one writing: “Bless David for being the husband that takes the important videos.” While another commented: “We want a world tour with the 5 Spice Girls!!!” A third exclaimed: “Now stop being silly and get that 5 piece tour announced!!”

One person notably missing from the event was Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz, who shared a post which read: “Happy birthday to my beautiful mil @victoriabeckham. I’m so sad I’m not there to celebrate you and hug you! Sending all my love from me and my naunni. I miss you all so much!”

Victoria is certainly making the most of her 50th celebrations – having dashed off to France on her actual birthday for an expensive meal. Reports claimed she was rushed off by David where they were driver by a chauffeur to a £200-a-head hilltop restaurant in Saint-Paul de Vence.

They were joined by their four children alongside her parents Jackie and Tony. “David chose somewhere incredibly remote where they knew the family wouldn’t get papped,” a source said. “The restaurant regularly hosts A-list celebrities during the Cannes film festival so none of the Riviera locals bat an eyelid when they see a celebrity.

“Victoria had an amazing fine wine-fuelled afternoon, soaking up the rays al fresco, overlooking the Med and enjoying her favourite white fish,” they told The Sun. The star had previously celebrated herself by highlighting her birthday on Wednesday.

Sharing a shot of herself on Instagram, she wrote at the time: “As I get ready to step into 50 (in heels, of course!), I feel so incredibly blessed to have reached this milestone. Blessed, but also accomplished and deeply content. Not just of where I am as a woman, but of how far my fashion and beauty brands have come. My ambition was always to empower women and make them feel like the best version of themselves. To me, that meant trusting my instinct and never compromising on my creative vision.

Earlier in the week, David had shared a sweet post dedicated to his wife as he wrote: “Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife… As you head into this birthday you should look back and be proud of what you have accomplished , achieved & what you have built , Posh spice , business woman & of course marrying an England captain.

“But your biggest success are your children, you guide them, love them & teach them… They love you beyond words, we all love you so much x Have a special day you deserve it all 50 and fit I AM BEING HONEST @victoriabeckham @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven.”
