In a curious tale involving LeBron James, social media influencer YesJulz was forced to deny that she was “involved” with the basketball icon after rumors surfaced about a possible affair.

Back in 2014, YesJulz – real name Julieanna Goddard – organized a party in Miami for James and rose to prominence soon after, boosting her profile on social media.

It later emerged via rapper Pusha T that something romantic may have happened between the two at the event, as the artist referenced in his song ‘Popular Demand (Popeyes)’.

In the first verse, Pusha T doesn’t specifically name YesJulz but claims he dated a girl and suspected her of sleeping with James.

In the song, he can heard rapping: “Used to have this white b****, she looked like Madonna though, heard that she f***ing LeBron, but s***, I don’t know. Like that, Bron-Bron?”

But years later, Goddard released a video in July 2023 debunking multiple rumors about her private life, including a denial that she had an affair with the married Los Angeles Lakers star.

It later transpired that she was actually dating one of his NBA friends, although she did not name the player in question.

“I have never in my entire life been alone with LeBron James, period,” YesJulz said. “There’s nothing that went on there. Clearly, we were friends. I was working in Miami. I was one of the most popular partygoers and throwers in Miami.”

Has LeBron James addressed the rumors?

To this day, ‘The King’ has not publicly commented on the speculation, perhaps as a way of not adding more fuel to the fire. But the timing of the denial – several years after the party – left social media users confused.

However, Goddard has reiterated that she didn’t cheat with James, adding that she respects his wife Savannah too much to engage in such a relationship. The couple, who have been together since 2013, have three children together.

“I did not f*** with LeBron. I have the utmost respect for Savannah. Love her. I think she’s amazing,” Goddard added.

“They have a beautiful family, and I’m really f***ing tired of this stain being put on my name.”
