On the program Access Hollywood , Justin Bieber shared about his feelings after breaking up with girlfriend Selena Gomez: “It was really difficult for me. Even though we have gone our separate ways now, I still love her and hope good things will come to her.”
When asked if Selena Gomez was the inspiration for the songs on his new album Purpose , Justin Bieber did not hesitate to answer: “Yes, a lot.” There are 3 songs written about her.”
The 21-year-old male singer also said that he and Selena Gomez met when they were both too young. That kept them from being together, even though she was the person he loved very much. Justin Bieber even wrote a song called If I Meet You in 5 Years to Express His Regret for His Love with Selena Gomez.

Justin Bieber said that although he doesn’t know what the future will be like, there is one thing he is extremely certain of, that is he will never stop loving Selena Gomez. “I will always love her and always care for her. I don’t think that when you break up with someone, you have to completely cut off the relationship with them, unless both of you have hurt each other too much both physically and mentally.”
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez first publicly dated in February 2011. For more than a year afterward, the two teenage stars always gave each other sweet gestures when appearing at events.
However, Justin Bieber still doesn’t seem to completely want to let go of his longtime girlfriend. He shared: “I think we need to take time to learn to understand our own hearts before we can understand each other’s hearts.”
