Lady Gaga cried when she told the story of being raped at the age of 19 and becoming pregnant

TPO – Lady Gaga could not hold back her tears when recalling her past of being raped by a producer and becoming pregnant at the age of 19.

During her first appearance on the show, Lady Gaga shocked everyone when she detailed how she was raped by a producer and then became pregnant at the age of 19.

“When I was 19 years old, I had just entered the industry. A producer told me, ‘Take off your clothes.’ I said ‘no’ and left. But they told me they would burn all my music. And they don’t stop. They kept asking me questions, and I was completely frozen and I didn’t even remember anything,” the 8x female singer choked up.

Gaga did not reveal the producer’s name because she was afraid of meeting him again. She said she was very embarrassed after the sexual assault and her body responded to the pain by getting sick for a long time. “I was sick for weeks afterward. I felt it was similar to the pain I went through when my rapist left me pregnant on a street corner,” she said.

According to the “Bad Romance” singer, she was abused and locked in a studio for months. That nightmarish time left her with physical and mental scars that continue to this day.

Gaga added that during her illness she always felt pain, similar to the feeling after being raped. However, she took magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as well as tried many other medical measures but could not find the cause. Finally, the doctor advised her to find a psychologist. She was later diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Lady Gaga had a complete mental breakdown, leading her to become a strange, careless and rebellious girl within a few years. She even thought about death.

Gaga affirmed that opening up about personal matters is not to seek pity, but just wants to help others. “I don’t tell this story for personal gain. Because honestly, it’s hard to tell. I feel very ashamed about that… I’m not here to tell my story because I want someone to cry for me. I’m fine. But open your heart for others. I want to tell everyone, I went through it and everyone needs help. It’s part of my healing process,” the international superstar emphasized.

This is not the first time Lady Gaga has shared about her abusive past. When interviewed with Oprah in “2020 Vision: Your Life In Focus” in 2019, Gaga said she had PTSD due to being raped but didn’t know it, leading to delays in treatment.

“I suddenly became a star and traveled the world, from hotel rooms to parking garages, then from limos to stages. I had never faced it, then suddenly I started experiencing severe pain throughout my entire body. It simulated the feeling I experienced after being raped,” she said.

She was then prescribed anti-psychotic medication. According to the 35-year-old beauty, if she doesn’t take medication, she has to endure spasms in her sleep and often feels like her head is spiraling.
