Lady Gaga reveals matching tattoo tributes with her dad on Snapchat to late aunt Joanne
The singer already discussed how the album is helping heal her dads aching heart, and now she has a permanent inking to bond them together
KNOWN for her outlandish – and downright bizarre behaviour – Lady Gaga has never been one to shy away from shocking her fans.
So it only seemed right that to celebrate the release of her new album, Joanne, she did something major to remember the moment.
Taking to Snapchat, the 30-year-old documented the process of her getting a new tattoo in honour of her auntie, who the album is named after.

The singer has already mentioned how sentimental the disc is to her, and especially to her father Joe, and The Sun Online previously revealed how emotional he got when he heard what she had named the record.
Although she had never met her late aunt, who died of lupus in 1974, the Born This Way singer said she has always felt a connection with her.

Growing up, she never really understood how sad her dad really was and the pain he was going through, so she decided to pen a song.
In an exclusive chat with Bizarre’s Dan Wooton, she said: “I looked over at him and he just looked at me like, ‘How did you know that? How did you know that’s what I wanted to say?’”
So to share such a precious bond between the three of them, her dad joined Gaga to get matching tattoos together.

In a series of Snapchat videos, the American songstress documented the inking process, but kept an air of illusion around it.
The snaps disclose a bare forearm, with the blue transfer just in the crook of the person’s inner elbow which reads ‘Joanne’ in a sweeping font.
The font on both tattoos are the same, but Joes can be seen to have a guardian angel over it
But all is revealed as the etchings iconic to Gaga’s arm are shown above the new design, as the camera zooms out.
Finally, she shows her dad in a clip who is sitting with the same floral name on the top of his back accompanied by a guardian angel.
She captioned the snap ‘tattoos w dad #Joanne.’

Topping off an eventful evening, Lady Gaga did one last thing to honour her new album.
Taking a trip to Walmart, she peruses the aisles eagerly looking for her CD.
In front of stunned fans, Gaga casually scans her CD at the self-service check out
Then just like one of her fans, the Little Monsters, the songstress makes her way to a self-service checkout.
As she is watched by a few stunned shoppers, she goes on to buy a copy of Joanne.
