Marvel Fans are Having a Morality Civil War Over Tom Hiddleston Not Getting as Much Hatred as 1 Spider-Verse Character

Marvel fans are upset with George Stacy getting all the hate instead of characters like Tom Hiddleston’s Loki.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe skilfully introduced fans to several characters through decades, whom fans have often grown to love. However, in recent years following the release of Spider-Verse movies, Marvel fans have gotten divided over George Stacy’s character.

Unanimously hating Gwen Stacy’s father from the Spider-Verse movies, fans are sharing their reasons on X. This, began a morality Civil War on social media, as netizens gathered in support of George Stacy, while blaming Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, for being a jerk to Thor.

Lesser known Marvel characters like Gwen Stacy’s father George Stacy have been in the MCU for years. However, only after the release of the Spider-Verse movies, did the character get any recognition from fans. But surprisingly, the recognition isn’t quite good, as a number of people are imposing their hate on the character.

Following the climax scene from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, where Gwen makes the hardest choice of her life and pulls off her mask to reveal herself and beg her father to see through her, George Stacy points his gun at her. This particular scene not only brought tears to the eyes of fans but also made them wonder about George’s character.

Although George Stacy lowers his gun in the scene and tries to fathom the fact about his daughter’s identity, he again points his gun at her. Torn between a father and a dutiful cop, George tells Gwen to surrender for she’s under arrest. This scene apparently rushes all the hatred towards George for choosing his job over his daughter.

Fans are Upset With Tom Hiddleston’s Loki Being Loved 

Fans began posting online and slamming George Stacy’s character for not being a supportive father. This particular thread of post on X began a massive war online, for several other Marvel fans gathered around in support of George.
