Miley Cyrus Chooses a Side in Squashed Feud Between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B with New Rap

The singer debuts three new songs at a BBC Radio 1 festival over the weekend, including a rap single called “Cattitude” that calls out both women.
Miley Cyrus has reportedly chosen a side in the squashed (or is it?) feud between rappers Nicki Minaj and Cardi B … and she even rapped about it.
The singer made the statement during a mini-concert at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend festival on Saturday. While there, she performed three new tracks, one in which she rapped her rhyme about the two rappers.

It’s perhaps somewhat appropriate that the song is called “Cattitude” as there is definitely some cattiness in stepping into this particular fray, even if it has cooled.
The line was brief, with Miley rapping “I love you Nicki, but I listen to Cardi.” But what it lacks in length and complexity, it makes up for in provocation and noise.
And to make sure no one missed her little cheeky comment, Miley jumped on board the meme bandwagon that erupted over her rhyme, sharing and posting variations on the line including hilarious ones like “I love you me but I listen to Ari” and “I love you Miley but I listen to Hannah.”

Miley also debuted new songs “Mother’s Daughter” and “Dream,” but she didn’t leave her long-time fans completely hanging. She also played several of her greatest hits including “Party in the USA” and “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart,” while singer Charlie XCX joined her for “We Can’t Stop.”
The feud between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B hit its crescendo in September during New York Fashion Week when the pair had a huge blowout at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party. But a month later, Nicki appeared to call for a cease-fire, tweeting, “Let’s focus on positive things only from here on out.”
Cardi agreed with this sentiment, adding, “Alright then! Let’s keep it positive and keep it pushing!” Since then, there have been no shots fired from either camp.

Nicki also got into it with Miley herself, leading to a viral moment at the VMAs when Minaj asked Miley, who was hosting, “What’s good?” That beef appeared to also be squashed. So was this good-natured ribbing, or is Miley stirring something up? She even referenced this line in another social media post after the event.
But mostly, Miley has been promoting something for May 30, with sensual imagery and cryptic posts emblazoned with the phrase “She is coming” and that date. Is it an album drop? A music video with Brendon Urie? Maybe a rap battle with Nicki Minaj and Cardi B? Neither rapper has yet responded or reacted to Miley’s lyric or posts.
