TalkTV host Piers Morgan has come under fire for continuing to criticise pop icon Madonna, as he laughed at the idea of being ‘threatened’ by her power

Piers Morgan has once again taken aim at Madonna as he laughed at the thought of being “threatened” by her “power and stamina”.

The TalkTV host has already been facing criticism for judging Madonna’s appearance at the Grammy Awards and has now received further backlash for continuing to “bully” the 64-year-old.

Taking to Twitter, Madonna shared a wrinkle free selfie and wrote: “The world is threatened by my power and my stamina. My intelligence and my will to survive.

“But they will never break me this is all the test.”

Piers, 57, retweeted her post and added a row of crying laughing emojis.

Piers has since been inundated with criticism from his followers who deemed his jibe unnecessary.

One person questioned: “What’s your problem?”

“Be lots of things in life Piers, but don’t be a bully,” another person urged, while a third fan commented: “What did she do to you mate?”

“She got more likes on her post and more money in her bank account. I’m sure she has the last laugh,” another of Piers’ followers said.

Other people suggested his comments were steeped in misogyny, with one person tweeting: “Oh look, the man with a history of harassing and bullying women is back bullying women.”

Piers also came under fire for slamming Madonna’s appearance on Monday.

Whilst fans rushed to social media to question her ‘unrecognisable’ appearance, Piers shared his own thoughts in his typically outspoken way.

Alongside a screaming emoji and a close-up pic of Madonna, Piers dryly asked fans: “I thought Halloween was in October?”

“Oh wow…… I’ve always supported you, but this is a bit bullying. Not a good look for you,” one fan tweeted.

Another simply asked Piers “Why are you like this?”

Madonna has issued a lengthy statement as she hit back at those who mocked her appearance at the Grammys.

“And on top of that she won a Grammy!!

“”Instead of focusing on what I said in my speech which was about giving thanks for the fearlessness of artists like Sam and Kim- Many people chose to only talk about Close-up photos of me Taken with a long lens camera By a press photographer that Would distort anyone’s face!!”
