The players on the winning team of Super Bowl LVIII will walk away with a juicy paycheck

The San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs will play in this Sunday’s Super Bowl LVIII which will decide the NFL champion for this season. The game is a rematch of the league’s title game four years ago, when in Super Bowl LIV the Chiefs defeated the 49ers 31-20, meaning the latter will be looking for revenge when they take the field.
The team led by Andy Reid, the Chiefs, are going for their third championship ring in the last five years.
Chiefs’ Isiah Pacheco jokes about playing “Real Football” after NFL game in Spain plans
While head coach Kyle Shanahan’s team, the 49ers, are looking to give their fans their first championship since Super Bowl XXIX, after having lost in the XLVII and LIV editions. A victory would see them claim the franchises’ sixth Super Bowl win, which would place them as one of the winningest teams in the history of this game, next to the Steelers and Patriots.
The players of both teams are looking for a victory and to go down in NFL history, but it goes without saying that neither of them would turn down the financial prize that each of them would get for winning. That, along with the honor and pride of being champions of one of the biggest leagues in the world.
How much money will the Super Bowl winners get and how much will the second place team get?
Without having an official figure, it is estimated that each player on the winning team of Super Bowl LVIII will walk away with a juicy check of $164,000, which would be delivered to each player approximately 15 days after the game.
The players on the losing team would earn approximately $90,000, a sizeable figure that would no doubt help overcome the pain of defeat.
However, not all players will receive the same amount.
Those receiving the full amount are players who are on the active roster or were inactive in at least the last three games, as well as players who are injured but still under contract with the team.
Players who are not on the active or inactive roster for less than three games prior to the Super Bowl, as well as first-year players who were injured in the regular season and were removed from the active or inactive roster but are still under contract with the team, will receive half of the aforementioned checks.
