Tom Hiddleston reached his peak moment as Loki in the second season of the show. The character has gone through a drastic evolution over more than a decade and may arguably be the best MCU character. Hiddleston recently reflected on his MCU journey and answered whether he’ll return as the character after the ending of Loki season 2.

In an interview with Comicbook.com, Hiddleston recalled telling Kevin Feige goodbye many times thinking that he was done playing the character but ended u being called to play Loki again whenever they wanted him. Thus, he claims that he now wants to remain open to returning as Loki. He said,

“I have at least twice in my life said goodbye. I’ve written to Kevin Feige and Louis de Esposito and Victoria Alonso and been like, ‘Thank you so much. It’s been like the role of a lifetime,’ and they’ve written notes back saying, ‘Come and see us anytime. You’re always part of the family. We’re always here. You’ve given us so much and tears have been shared. So, I think I’d be unwise at this point to be conclusive about any of it.”

The ending of season 2 would have been a perfect ending for the character. However, many exciting possibilities can come up with Loki’s newfound powers and his current position in the MCU. It remains to be seen how and if the MCU ever brings back Loki in the future. Fans can watch both seasons of Loki and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania on Disney+.
