Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Audition is a Treat For Marvel Fans But It Might Be a Little Embarassing For the MCU Star

Tom Holland, Jacob Batalon, and Zendaya watch their audition tapes for the MCU, laughing at how much they have changed.

Tom Holland is one of the most well-known actors in Hollywood in recent times. Though he has been a part of several very well-known projects, what helped him become as famous as he did, has to be his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Peter Parker. Starring in over a handful of movies for the franchise, with the perfect examples being Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and the Avengers films, he has managed to become one of the most beloved characters who ever come out of the MCU.

During the promotion of the third Spider-Man film, Holland, alongside Zendaya, who plays the role of MJ, and Jacob Batalon, who plays the role of Ned Leeds, took a look back at their audition tapes that helped them get these roles. While a lot of fans would love to take a look at these, it would seem that the Spider-Man actor is not one of them, looking especially embarrassed when looking back at his younger self.

Tom Holland’s Audition Tape For Spider-Man

While filming and promoting their upcoming film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon did an interview on YouTube, where they took a look back at the auditions that helped them secure their roles in the franchise. Holland, who plays the role of the titular character went first. Upon the first sight of his audition tape, all three of them started laughing at the younger Holland, who started this tape off by doing a backflip to enter the frame.

Seeing how young he was, and cringing at the inexperience that was shining through the screen, Holland got extremely embarrassed. All three of them then went on to make fun of this audition tape, laughing at a ridiculous giggle that was given by the younger actor, years before he became the A-celebrity that he is today.

Next Came Jacob Batalon and Zendaya’s Turn

Next came the turn of Jacob Batalon, who gave an extremely adorable and awkward audition tape. He started by announcing to the camera that he would be auditioning for the role of Ned Leeds. He then slowly walked off-camera and entered the screen again. The actor explained that he was extremely nervous about this, and this was something that could be noticed. He finished this off by saying thank you to the camera. Finding the entire audition extremely hilarious, all three could not stop laughing.

Finally, Zendaya’s audition was shown. Compared to Tom Holland and Batalon, she is a lot more experienced in the acting profession, considering she has been doing this ever since she was very young. This was something that was evident in her audition tape, with her being a lot calmer and her skill showcasing to anyone who was watching the tape. This was something that was pointed out by the two, marveling at how good she was at what she did. They ended this by talking about how far they have come.
