Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce discussed the ‘honor’ of being named a team captain during a photoshoot.
Kelce made his comments in a video released on the Chiefs X page earlier this week.
‘I think coach [Andy] Reid does the captains deal for the team a little bit different than a lot of other coaches throughout the league,’ said Kelce. ‘Throughout the year, we have multiple captains. The captains change every single gameday.
‘A lot of the times it’s a guy that’s from the city that we’re playing or a guy that’s played for the team that we’ve played. And he gives them a chance to lead this team into battle.
‘When it comes to the playoffs, he lets the players vote on who the captains are and who the guys are that emerged throughout the entire season whose gonna lead us into battle for the remainder of the season.’
