‘Unrecognizable’ Madonna has likely spent $100,000 on surgery including a face lift & fat transfer, plastic surgeon says

POP star Madonna’s face could be distorted because of botched cosmetic procedures, a top plastic surgeon has said.

And he claims her possible face lift, brow lift, filler and lip augmentations may have set her back over $100,000.

“I’d imagine that she has probably had a face lift and some form of a brow lift because the shape of the brow and her eyebrows are very high,” says Dr Richard Westreich, a New York cosmetic surgeon who has amassed over 18 years expertise in the facial plastic surgery sector.

“I think she has had eye work done years ago and lip augmentation as well, which could be filler, but implants could also have been placed there.

“There’s definitely too much volume which correlates with the concept of turning a raisin into a grape, so if this voluntary – then shame on Madonna’s doctors.

“Some surgeons charge $150,000 for a face lift, but for the average person for a face lift, brow lift and a bunch of augmentations you’re looking at between $75,000 to $100,000, but Madonna might’ve paid more.”

As a singer and a performer, Madonna is celebrated globally, but she’s also become a massive style icon and has taken on various acting roles, meaning there’s plenty of added scrutiny on how she looks.

The Grammy Award winner first shot to fame in the 1980s because of chart topping tracks such as Holiday and Borderline, before releasing 14 studio albums, winning 24 Grammy nominations, and seven awards.

The mom of six has also been married twice, for the first time to Sean Penn and then to film maker, Guy Ritchie in the early 2000s.

But it’s the speculation around Madonna’s increasingly bizarre face shape that continues to intensify, and especially so by plastic surgeons like Dr Westreich – as she continues to post videos of herself online.

Travis Kelce’s ‘dopamine hit’ from $1m cars may impact Taylor Swift, says expert

“My first thought when I saw the recent video was that she’s almost unrecognizable,” explains Dr Westreich.

“Once you go over the threshold, it then even becomes noticeable to the casual observer, that something’s wrong.

“I couldn’t comment on what her goals were for surgery though.”

“The main things that really strikes me is the overall facial shape and specifically in the upper face, because of overfill.

“I don’t know if this may be filler or fat transfer, but Madonna doesn’t have temples which is startlingly odd and hers continue to go out so that produces an odd facial shape.

“Fillers attract water and that creates a swollen appearance if you’ve done too much of it, so if she’s had too much volume, it’s very unstructured.”

Despite the latest and past rumors of plastic surgery, including face lifts and a butt lift, in 2012 the Material Girl hitmaker said: “I am certainly not against plastic surgery. However, I am absolutely against having to discuss it.”

Following her appearance at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards, surgery rumors swirled once again that she’d had a breast enlargement operation, as well as butt implants.

And Madonna isn’t alone in the world of celebrity with plenty of others like her perhaps opting for the surgery route in order to look youthful and for many, without achieving the best results.

“I think celebrities get the worst treatment of anybody as there’s a lot of pressure on the physician to do the surgery,” reveals Dr Westreich.

“If Madonna is your patient and she comes in and says, I want a brow lift , and you say no, you’re probably going to lose her as a patient which is why some celebrities wind up looking strange at times as sometimes it’s hard to say no to them.

“A good number of celebrities over the last few years have gone to a place where they were looking unusual and have come back from this to some degree, but in this instance with Madonna, it’s very hard to say.”

“I’m assuming she can see photos of herself from a couple of years ago, and that she would have access to a lot of visuals reminding her of how she looked six months ago, last year and three years ago, ” adds Dr Westreich who trained at NYU and completed a Fellowship in plastic surgery at Mount Sinai, New York.

“I have to assume in her opinion that the end result of the work looks good and that this may just be the visual that appeals to her at this point.”
