A 3,000-year-old ancient Egyptian statue and an old painting have sparked claims of possible time travel, suggesting a resemblance to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
These extraordinary findings were brought to light by the YouTube channel Fact5, which pointed out a mysterious old painting resembling Jackson. The painting in question is “Portrait of a Young Man” by Barent Fabritius, displayed in the Städelsches Kunstinstitut in Frankfurt, Germany, and was created in the 1600s. Remarkably, it bears a striking likeness to Michael Jackson.
Even more intriguing, Fact5 also draws attention to an Egyptian statue located at The Field Museum in Chicago, which seems to bear a resemblance to Jackson’s face. This 3,000-year-old Egyptian bust has prompted discussions about its uncanny resemblance to the King of Pop.
The video narrator pondered, “Have you ever heard the quote, ‘Good painting is like good cooking, it can be tasted but not explained’? Well, can you explain this similarity between Michael Jackson and this anonymous painting?”
The video goes on to speculate, “If you thought that this was similar, this mysterious statue also bears some resemblance to the king of pop. It appears that Michael had done some time traveling throughout his time.”
Fact5 suggests the theory that Jackson may have traveled back in time to various eras and was immortalized by ancient Egyptians and later by the painter. Notably, Jackson is not the first celebrity to appear in famous artwork, with look-alikes for Nicholas Cage and John Travolta also making appearances.
The world mourned the loss of the US pop legend in 2009, as he had been preparing for a comeback tour before he was found unresponsive in his LA home and declared dead at the age of 48.
While some reacted to the claims of time travel with amazement and humor, others found it “spooky” and couldn’t help but laugh at the idea. However, Fact5 clarified in the comments that the title is meant for entertainment and does not imply the actual possibility of time travel.
