She has spent her career developing a reputation for both catchy pop songs and outlandish ensembles.

And Lady Gaga is ensuring that she lets no-one down on the fashion front during the Japan leg of her ARTPOP tour.

The 28-year-old singer emerged from a Tokyo nightclub on Thursday dressed in a particularly eccentric outfit consisting of a wire clam shell skirt, see through black top, ripped fishnet tights, and studded black collar.

She wore typically towering platform lace up black boots while chains with crosses dangled from her collar.

The overall look was made even more bizarre with the addition of eccentric make-u including a gold painted nose, crimson lipstick and black lace-style under the eye adornments. 

Clearly proud of the look, Gaga posted a snapshot of herself on Instagram alongside the caption: ‘Playtime #ARTPOP #MonsterStyle AZABU APHRODiSHY’

However, the under-the-eye detail and nose paint may have been a little irritating as later, the star emerged from the club without either.

Clearly delighted to be in Asia, the star recently took to Twitter to say: ‘ARTPOP is a bit success in Japan, and I’m so happy to be here with them to celebrate.’ 

A short time later she added: ‘Tokyo, my favorite place. Aphrodite took a hit of love and went to a disco in the future.’

Gaga played two nights at the Chiba Marine Stadium in Tokyo on August 13 and 14 and will now head to Seoul to perform at the Olympic Stadium on August 16.

Earlier this week, Gaga arrived at Narita International Airport in a huge blonde wig, semi-sheer body stocking – and very little else.

Giving the illusion of being nearly naked, she raised eyebrows amongst both her ‘Little Monsters’ and airport staff.
