Specifically in the lawsuit, in early May, Nicki Minaj was invited to perform at Chateau nightclub at 24:00. This nightclub even paid Nicki Minaj $263,000 in advance compensation to ensure that she could attend the party.

However, it wasn’t until 1:19 a.m. the next morning that the female rapper appeared, and only stayed for about half an hour before leaving. Pictures taken at the nightclub show that Nicki Minaj did not even put down her handbag during the performance.
This nightclub said that Nicki Minaj’s late appearance made those attending the party that day extremely disappointed. Therefore, the nightclub’s revenue is also affected because they cannot sell luxury tickets for up to 25,000 USD. Therefore, they filed a lawsuit against Nicki Minaj’s management company to reclaim the fee they previously paid to the female rapper.
This is not the first time Nicki Minaj has encountered legal trouble for not complying with event attendance times.
Previously in 2011, the 32-year-old female rapper was also sued when she arrived late to the NBA All-stars party and left after less than 30 minutes. However, at that time, the advance payment she received was only $50,000.
