Miley Cyrus took to Instagram on Monday, the day after she won her first Grammy.

And again she did not include a thank you to her father Billy Ray Cyrus after neglecting to bring up his name on stage on Sunday at the Crypto.com arena in LA.

In her caption, however, she did mention her mother Tish and her sister Brandi as well as her godmother Dolly Parton and even Mariah Carey.

At the start of her caption it seemed as if she may have wanted to mention her father.

‘I had all the perfect things to say but none of them could come out in this moment of shock,’ began the Flowers singer.

‘I’m happy they didn’t… because (thankfully) prepared perfection just isn’t my story,’ she joked. ‘Life is so much more exciting this way.’

But then she did not thank her father.

Her first thank you as to Mariah Carey: ‘Thank you @mariahcarey for being so iconic. MCxMC4EVR.’

She then thanked her mom again: ‘To my mommy @tishcyrus I love you more than anything in the entire universe, my family, @brandicyrus thank you for being there like always, my godmother @dollyparton – I felt your fairy dust everywhere ( I put a little extra in my hair , could you tell?!).’

Next it was her boyfriend and friends: ‘My lover, my momos, my friends, my collaborators , @kidharpoon @tylersamj @pollackmusic @aldaelong , every single person who made this song and album possible!’

Even her hair and makeup people got a shout out: ‘My team (a little extra love to the glam team).’

Next: ‘Bill Sobel who is my hero and doesn’t have Instagram so will probably never see this, Crush Music , Olivia + FANMADE, Ron Perry and all of Columbia records.’

Then her fans got some love.

‘I celebrate my fans above all else. No award means as much to me as the years we’ve spent together.

You SAW me before this recognition.

I never needed it because I HAVE YOU. A day doesn’t pass that I don’t spend at least a moment thanking heaven for sending me such supportive earth angels.

I love you with my entire heart. To many more years together.’

Selena Gomez wrote in the comments section, ‘You deserve it.’

She seems to have distanced herself from her father after her parents split.

She omitted her famous father from her Grammys 2024 acceptance speech on Sunday night – to the shock of her adoring fans.

The hitmaker, 31, was one of the biggest winners of the night as she earned the coveted Record Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her hit track Flowers – leading to a rousing speech about her loved ones.

Miley reeled off names of her nearest and dearest, her peers, her co-workers and even gave a nod to her underwear however notably left her dad Billy Ray, 62, out of the speech.

Rumours of a rift in Team Cyrus have been long-standing, with many fans referencing his marriage to Firerose, who is 27 years his junior, in their claims that the family are at loggerheads.

In her speech, Miley said: ‘This award is amazing. But I really hope that it doesn’t change anything because my life was beautiful yesterday. Not everyone in the world will get a Grammy, but everyone in this world is spectacular…

‘So please don’t think that this is important, even though it’s very important, right guys? ‘[I want to thank] everyone that’s standing on this stage right now Tom, Tyler, Michael and Greg…
