Cardi B Refutes Nicki Minaj Diss Track Report: 'I Don't Need to Diss Anybody '

The rapper told Ebro Darden on his Beats 1 show on Apple Music that she’s not a fan of diss tracks and would rather just confront any celebrity she’s feuding with in person.

“The way that I came up, it was never about dissing nobody, and I still feel like I don’t need to diss anybody for nothing. My music was never about that,” she said on Wednesday. “I have a short temper, so that’s like doing things that I don’t stand for. I don’t like when people be subbing me. So why would I subbing you on music?”

“And any problem that I have, I always address people face-to-face. I don’t care,” she continued. “It’s whatever the energy’s like. I don’t care.”

The “Money” rapper made headlines last month for doing just that.

Cardi B Denies Nicki Minaj Diss Track Reports

Cardi reportedly approached Nicki at her table at the Harper’s Bazaar party during New York Fashion Week in September, calling the rival rapper out for spreading lies about her and ultimately losing it. The “Bodak Yellow” singer took off her shoe and threw it at Nicki, but missed. Video footage obtained by TMZ shows that Cardi had to be held back security.

After the scuffle, Cardi reportedly sent Nicki a message: “I’ve let a lot of shit slide! I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me … But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f–kin off!!”

“I’ve worked hard and come too far to let anybody f–k with my success,” she added. “Bitches talk about all that shit in they raps but in real life are pussy!!”

Nicki called the entire incident “mortifying and so humiliating” on her weekly Beats 1 Queen Radio show.

“Get this woman some f–king help,” she said. “This woman is at the best stage of her career, and she’s out here throwing bottles and throwing shoes? Get this woman an intervention!”
