Cardi Bcost of living as she took to Instagram to share her views on America’s soaring house prices on Tuesday.

The rapper, who has an estimated net worth of $40million (£35million), admitted that she has to financially help her family and friends and questioned how others survive.

The artist, 29, who is known for her love of Hermès handbags, revealed that she had been helping her cousin look for an apartment and was shocked by the rising prices.

Voicing her thoughts, she exclaimed: ‘There’s no m************ inventory when it comes to homes. Nobody’s gonna try to sell their f****** homes.

‘I was looking at some areas. The way that the prices soar up… like how are people surviving? I want to know.

‘My family and my friends, they’re so grateful to have me, but it’s just like, what happens to people who don’t have a me?’

Cardi continued: ‘All these promises are being made, but living is unbearable. All these promises are being made, but living is unbearable.’

The Grammy winner who is no stranger to indulging in the finer things in life, often shows off her opulent style on social media.

She is well known for her love of pricey Hermès handbags – which start around $10,000 each but can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars for the more elite designs.

They aren’t sold at Hermès’ stores or on its website – instead, customers have to put their names down on a waiting list and get close with a sales associate just for a chance to be offered the opportunity to buy one of the extravagant purses.

Cardi left her fans stunned when she posted a picture to Instagram last July, in which she showed off her 26 different Birkin bags.

One of the bags – the Birkin Cargo – is reported to have cost her an upwards of $240,000, with Page Six reporting that the ‘multi-pocketed and multi-practical’ bag was ‘inspired by military clothing.’

‘The leather and canvas design features five pockets on the outside, and even a built-in cupholder,’ the outlet added.

‘I wanted this f**king Birkin so bad. Y’all don’t understand, I called every f**king Hermès store, it just came out this year,’ she said on Instagram after she purchased it in February. ‘I had to pay triple but I just love it. I just thought it was so amazing, she’s so pretty.’

In February, she was showered with diamonds, roses and Chanel bags by her husband Offset as they celebrated the Valentine’s period together.

Petals graced the hallway floors, candles were arranged around various rose displays, and Cardi was even gifted six Chanel bags that would’ve set Offset back $28,241.

Cardi could not believe her eyes as she was gifted an astounding six Chanel purses, including one not available in the United States. ‘That’s Dubai, it’s not in America. Confirmed,’ Offset said of a red and black one Cardi was holding.

The rapper was filmed opening a box containing a diamond encrusted Audemars Piguet watch, with Offset quick to point out that the pricey timepiece had set him back $375,000.
