Miley Cyrus set for epic Las Vegas residency at Sphere after telling gutted fans she’ll never tour again
SHE’s had a bumper year thanks to mega-hit Flowers and the success of her album Endless Summer Vacation, despite not playing live over the past 12 months.
But I can reveal 2024 could finally see Miley Cyrus return to the stage after she restarted talks for her debut Las Vegas residency.

Bosses at MSG who own futuristic venue The Sphere, are said to be doing all they can to tempt the We Can’t Stop singer to the Mojave desert city.
They are keen to bag a star to take over when U2 wrap their shows in a few months after being left with £1billion debt amid escalating costs and paying a reported 800k per show for the Irish rockers.
A source said: “Miley has been in talks about making her Sin City debut for quite some time.
“She initially declined an offer from MSG but while she hates life on the road, she still loves being on stage.
“Talks resumed recently after a higher offer was put on the table.
“One of the problems bosses have is that because they paid so much for U2, other artists have taken notice and are digging their heels in when it comes to their fees.”
It means she is unlikely to come back to the UK, having not done a full series of dates here since her 2014 Bangerz Tour.
Miley left fans gutted in May after revealing she doesn’t intend to ever tour again.
But earlier this month she appeared to rediscover her love of performing with a very small number of private gigs for friends and family at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles.
Once seen as a singer’s graveyard, in recent years Vegas has enjoyed a resurgence with stars still in their prime flocking there to take part in big-money residencies.
Adele, Lady Gaga, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry and Britey Spears have all enjoyed bumper pay days for shows in Sin City.
If you ask me, Vegas is the perfect fit for Miley.

But the episodes were actually filmed months ago as she has been rushed off her feet in the show Sunset Boulevard on London’s West End.
She has received rave reviews for the musical, in which she plays the lead role of Norma Desmond.
However, she only has 27 performances left before it ends on January 6, so you better get in there quick if you want to catch a show.

LEONA LEWIS has revealed she feels “heartbroken” by the amount of bad news in 2023.
At her latest festive gig at the Eventim Apollo London on Tuesday, she said: “I want to talk a little bit about how I’ve been feeling recently.
“For some time now there’s been a lot of darkness in the world and when I was putting this show together it was getting very bad.
“I was just so heartbroken and sad, but knowing I was going to come and perform was giving me some light to hold on to in a very dark time.
“My intention for this show is to spread light and love because for me Christmas is about being kind to each other, compassionate to our fellow humans and Christmas is about peace.”

CHIC frontman Nile Rodgers has inadvertently leaked the first four song titles from Coldplay’s upcoming album.
He shared a video of himself jamming with Chris Martin in a studio on TikTok, but eagle-eyed fans spotted the tracklist for the band’s upcoming tenth album, Moon Music.
Song titles written on a whiteboard included the title track, plus Man In The Moon, Jupiter and Good Feeling.
Nile has “had a blast” working on the record, adding: “What was great working with Coldplay is that we’re all in the room together and it’s sort of like a spiritual thing.”

BLUR’s Damon Albarn got the first punch in against the Rolling Stones when he badmouthed them last week.

Following Blur’s comeback with their album The Ballad Of Darren in July and the Stones’ return with October’s Hackney Diamonds, they are both eligible for gongs.
They qualify for Best British Album, Group of the Year and Alternative/Rock Act, meaning they could butt heads several times at the biggest night in British music next March.
A source said: “In the Nineties it was all about Blur versus Oasis but this could be the next big rivalry.
“Both acts are expected to be nominated and there will be bragging rights for whoever comes out on top.
“If the Stones win, Damon will be eating his words.”
I told on Saturday how Damon had laid into rock veterans, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, saying the group had got “worse”, and suggesting it was “disappointing” that they hadn’t quit years ago.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed that both acts are in the mix and at the ceremony on March 2.
Some fireworks on the night would be essential viewing.
SWIFT TRIP FOR AKISS
TAYLOR SWIFT didn’t need the excuse of mistletoe to give her boyfriend Travis Kelce a smooch under some Christmas lights.

Taylor celebrated her 34th birthday yesterday and treated fans by extending the film by adding performances of three more songs: 2010’s Long Live, 2014’s Wildest Dreams and 2019’s The Archer.
She has been dating Travis since July and has been regularly jetting in and out of Kansas, where these snaps were taken and his team is based.
But I don’t envy him what to get Tay for Christmas.
