It’s no secret that Nicki Minaj and Drake are two of the biggest names in hip-hop today. Nicki has single-handedly changed the game with her iconic features and signatures hits and Drake is arguably the most successful person in music right now. Not a year goes by without both artists dominating the charts. On top of that, fans can’t get enough of their friendship. It’s adorable how supportive they are of each other.

However, it looks as though things may have turned sour between the two rap titans. Lil Wayne famously signed both stars to his Young Money label back in 2009 and since then they’ve not only established themselves as icons in the industry but also collaborated on multiple hit records. All seemed good between the two artists but, last night, fans realised that the two have unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Do Nicki Minaj and Drake have beef?

Neither Drake or Nicki have said anything publicly about there being any drama between them right now but fans have been putting together theories and there are many. Some think that they’ve fallen out over Drake collabing with Meek Mill. Queen is the first Nicki album that Drake isn’t featured on and Nicki could be disappointed that Drake decided to work with her ex on a song and not her this year.

People are also speculating that the potential Nicki Drake drama could be linked to Cardi B featuring on Meek’s new album. It’s no secret that Cardi and Nicki have their own beef and Nicki may be upset that Drake is now aligning himself with Cardi. Also Nicki just worked with Kanye West in spite of the fact that Kanye told people about Drake’s son before Drake publicly revealed that he is a father.

On top of that, Drake appears to be distancing himself not just from Nicki but Young Money artists in general. He has recently worked with Quality Control stars including Migos and City Girls instead of his label mates like Lil Wayne and Nicki. Nicki had a Young Money reunion in her ‘Good Form’ video and Drake wasn’t even there. Was he not invited or did he just not show up?

Regardless of what the reasoning actually is for the Instagram unfollowing, fans are emotional af and have been taking to Twitter to mourn the loss of one of their favourite celebrity friendships.
