The roll-out of Billboard/Vibe’s Top 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time continues with this week’s reveal of their top 10 rappers. Nicki Minaj is obviously on the list and she is the only woman to appear in the top ten of their ‘Greatest Rappers of All Time’ list.

From there, the teams considered the following criteria, not in any order: body of work/achievements (charted singles/albums, gold/platinum certifications), cultural impact/influence (how the artist’s work fostered the genre’s evolution), longevity (years at the mic), lyrics (storytelling skills) and flow (vocal prowess).

Nicki Minaj is not simply the hottest name in rap, she’s a multifaceted artist who’ll win women a place at the heart of hip-hop, period.
